A Prayer When Your Kids Are Out of Reach

Dear Lord, though my kids are older now and have outgrown my reach, they are never out of Your reach. So I ask that You will reach them where I cannot. Reach them where I never could. Reach into the recesses of their hearts. 

Ease their pain, heal their hurts, and mend what’s broken. Infuse them with Your love and comfort them with Your peace. Renew and restore as only You can.

And protect them. As I cover them in prayer, cover them with Your wings. Be their shelter in the storm. Be the shade at their right hand. Be their shield and their strength. Be their provider and sustainer.

Bring about Your purposes for their lives. For You have great plans for them. May they submit to Your plans. And may they see and be all that You created them to be.
