Who Is Like the Lord?

Who is like You, Lord?
You are faithful and true
Promise maker, promise keeper
All my hope is in You

You command it and it’s done
I will see it come to pass
So let me enter Your rest today
Trusting in Your paths

It’s impossible for You to fail
You will not forget
What You have said, You will do
Though I haven’t seen it yet

You don’t go back on Your promises
You will not lose one of them
You’re working in the waiting 
You will see this to the end

This is my expectation
This is my inheritance 
I’m going to find You faithful
In every circumstance

Do You speak and not act?
Do You promise and not fulfill?
No, Your word stands firm
It always has and always will

Creator, sustainer
I build my life on You
I take comfort that You know all things 
And that I don’t have to

Your ways are higher than my own
Your thoughts higher than mine
Your word will not return void 
You’re not man that You should lie
