A Prayer to Let Go

Dear Heavenly Father, rich in grace, abounding in love, author of the night and day, maker of the universe. You hold all things in Your hands.

There is nothing that I have experienced, or am experiencing, or will experience that is outside the grasp of Your hands. You go behind me and before me – You have hemmed me in. And You are with me, always with me.

So I can relax, and I can release all that I am holding onto. All my to-dos, all my worries and stress, all my thoughts and emotions. All my hurts and hang-ups, all my sorrow and pain, all my fears and tears. All that is known and unknown.

I can release it all to You. 

So may I do that today. May I let go of all that I am holding onto, until the only thing that I’m left holding is Your hand.
