A Prayer When You Can’t Take One More Thing

Dear Lord, how many times have I said, “I can’t take one more thing,” and yet one more thing comes along?

And how many times have You shown me that I’m not to take one more thing, but that I’m to take it all to You?

So for me and everyone else out there like me, who can’t take one more thing, help us, Lord.

Help us give it all to You. Help us trust that You will see us through.

For we can’t do this on our own. Our only hope is in You.

So take it all. And in exchange, give us Your strength. Give us Your peace. And give us Your rest.
