God told her that this would be the year
To break free
But something would be required of her
She’d have to agree

To allow God to work in and through
Her heart and soul
To surrender everything to Him
Let go of control

For to take hold of all God has in store
And all He’s planned
She must relinquish all and come to Him
With empty hands

Let down her walls and give God all her hurts
And each heartbreak
Allow Him to work from inside out
And heal her every ache

Lay down all her burdens, worries, pride
And all her masks
Give it all, hold nothing back, and do
Just what God asks

Put God’s desires above her own, seek His will
Above all
Ignore the voices of the world
Respond only to God’s call

Have no concern of what others think of her
It matters not
The joy of the Lord and pleasing Him
Should be her only thought

And when she keeps her gaze on God and there
In Him abides
She’ll know her true identity and break free
From all the lies

Free from everything that’s held her back
And weighed her down
Free to walk in God’s inheritance
And rightly wear her crown

And with her crown in place, she is now who
She’s meant to be
Yes, now she knows the truth, and it’s the truth
That sets her free
