A Prayer of Calling
Thank you, Lord, that You’re always calling me.
You call me when I’m drifting. When I’m wandering. When I’m lost.
“Where are you, my child?”
You call me out. Out of the things that hurt me. Out of the thoughts that burden me. Out of the lies that bind me.
“Come back to Me.”
You call me to You. Deeper and deeper with You.
“Come away with Me.”
You call me into Your kingdom, Your inheritance, Your family. You call me Your own.
“Hello daughter, welcome home.”
You call me beloved and chosen. Ransomed and redeemed. Blessed and anointed.
“Confidently wear your crown.”
You call me to the places You have for me to go. Places unseen and unknown. Places beyond my imagination. Places beyond myself.
“I’m calling you to more.”
You call me up, higher and higher. You give me wings to soar like eagles.
“Fly free.”
And the only thing you require of me, is to answer Your call.
“Where are you, my child?”
“I’m here, Father. I’m right here.”
